Affiliated to the Guild of Master Sweeps, we are fully insured and provide expert advice on the efficient use and burning of solid fuel appliances.

 

Following every sweep, a Guild of Master certificate is issued which is nationally recognised by most home insurance providers.

Did you know that the smoke produced by a log burner can contain up to 32,000 parts per million of carbon monoxide (CO) gas? This gas is colourless and odourless. It is therefore undetectable by humans making it extremely dangerous. Having your chimney swept regularly ensures the flow for such gases is clear of obstructions limiting the potential risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Ensuring you have a working carbon monoxide alarm within the room of your appliance is also vitally important to protect you. Our sweep will always assess the integrity of your appliance making sure there are no gaps/cracks where smoke could escape. We will also check for a working CO alarm within your property and ensure it is fitted in the correct location.
